What I love is my book's new designation as a bestseller in African-American studies! Accurate or not, I take this to be some acknowledgement on the part of the karmic gods that my efforts at conjuring an ethnic studies tract that was sensitive to all kinds of flavors of "Americans" (and their construction in US Mass Culture) have been somewhat successful.
