When I realized that all of this talent was connected to *Rudo y Cursi*, I have to admit I was a little let down. Sure, when the red car of the agent comes on screen, it represents the eros for success and everything that the modern world offers, but the characters were so much two dimensional than those in *Amores Perros* and *Y Tu Mama Tambien*, no?
The way I see it, they can't always hit homeruns--for every TOUCH OF EVIL there were several GALLO WINE commercials (for Orson Welles); let's give them a pass and see what they come up with next. Del Toro is on a roll.... watch out for his coming attractions....
