am really excited to announce that
Mextasy, fresh back from an exhibition at
the University of Hawaii at Manoa, is now booked to open for a limited one-day engagement at the Fullerton Public Library (co-sponsored by
CSUF's ultra-rad Chicana/o Studies Department) where I will be giving a talk with
Gustavo Arellano, everyone's favorite
Ask A Mexican and the editor of the outrageously hip/current/progressive
OC Weekly. Come on out for the show and the exhibition--there will be readings from Tex[t]-Mex, Q & A with Gustavo and myself (¡
lucha libre!), book-signings, and the exhibition--a rogues' gallery of scandalous graphic "Mexican" representations. Salma Hayek and Eva Longoria (along with Guy Ecker) are rumored to be coming for the gala, so make sure you are ready to brave the crowds.
* It's free and open to the public. Órale...
*OK, I started the rumor and its not true!

UPDATE....
The Orange County Register is getting in on the act!
