Rita Hayworth, aka Margarita Carmen Cansino, in BLOOD AND SAND (1941)

... just some images lifted off of tumblr and dr. macro of Rita Hayworth from BLOOD AND SAND--the evocative/predictable semiotic terrain of the Latina bombshell, where sexuality is always already a foregrounded element of the Subject, is clearly in play here... much of this is covered in the Rita chapter in Tex[t]-Mex. Michael Barrett's review in PopMatters is worth a studied peek.
