The Mextasy Pop-up Exhibition, a Traveling Circus of Disrupting Latina/o-Loving Desmadres, Hits the U.S. Midwest and the American Studies Program at the University of Kansas, Thursday, April 28, 2016! #mextasy

A quick notice that the Mextasy Circus of Televisual Desmadres hits the land of Dorothy and Oz this week, Thursday, April 28, 2016 as our Spring 2016 tour comes to a close before I take off for the London Rocks program next month.

There will be an exhibition, presentation, book- and print-signing and tons of other fun!

"MEXtasy" Pop-up Exhibition:  11AM - 3PM, Sabatini Multicultural Resource Center, Reception Area
Visit and walk-through a one day pop-up exhibition entitled “MEXtasy", that brings us images of the Mexican experience in America and the many negative stereotypes that continue to be produced by Hollywood and the media.
Part II, Lunch and Learn 12:00-1:15PM
Join us for a lunch time conversation with exhibition curator William Anthony Nericcio, aka Memo, an award-winning Chicano literary theorist, cultural critic, graphic designer, American Literature scholar, and Professor of English and Comparative Literature at San Diego State University.

You can find more information from a site run by my host with most, the Department of American Studies at the University of Kansas--thanks also to the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies there also.

Here's a day in the life of American Studies at KU--below appears propaganda for the event I have been tossing up on social media as well as some new Mextasy prints! Remember you can always find a variety of Mextasy/Eyegiene nonsense at eyegiene.tictail.com.
